Fitness Rush, based in Old Hurst, was crowned ‘outdoor facility of the year’ at the National Fitness Awards, once again defeating competition from fitness facilities across the UK.
The judges said the award was given in recognition of the company’s “exceptional commitment to outdoor training, innovation, and community impact.
“Their unique approach to outdoor fitness has set a new benchmark in the industry, providing an inclusive and dynamic space for people of all fitness levels,” they added.
Alongside this achievement, Fitness Rush member Catherine McFadzean received the runners-up award for ‘outstanding achievement’.
Liam Rush, director of Fitness Rush, who completed a 27-hour fitness test to raise money for the Brain Tumour Research charity in 2020, said: “Catherine’s journey is inspiring.
“Overcoming long-term homelessness and marking one year of sobriety from drugs and alcohol, she embodies the spirit of resilience and transformation that Fitness Rush champions.”
He added that, following the national recognition, Fitness Rush is expanding with the aim of “bringing its award-winning outdoor fitness experience to even more people”.
