Andy Murray is set to return from injury at the Geneva Open this month and still intends to play at the French Open for what is likely to be the final time.
The three-time Grand Slam champion has been a given a wildcard for the clay-court tournament in Switzerland, which begins on 18 May.
The 36-year-old Briton, who is expected to retire this season, has been out since late March after rupturing ankle ligaments at the Miami Open.
Murray opted not to have surgery on the injury to reduce recovery time with hopes of playing at the French Open, Wimbledon and the Paris Olympics this summer.
The French Open starts on 26 May.
Since returning from hip resurfacing surgery in 2019, which he thought would end his career, Murray has played only once on the Paris clay, losing in the first round in 2020 to Switzerland’s Stan Wawrinka.
Scot Murray, who turns 37 in May, has said he does not plan to “play much past this summer” but wants to compete at another Olympic Games before he retires.
In anticipation of a final appearance at Wimbledon, Murray intends to start his grass-court preparations in Stuttgart on 10 June.
Wimbledon, where Murray is a two-time champion, begins on 1 July and the Olympics start on 26 July.
The US Open, the final Grand Slam tournament of the season, gets under way on 26 August in New York.
