Cheshire Dance is looking for a General Manager to work closely with the Director and the wider team to bring our artistic vision to life while ensuring the organisation’s long-term stability and financial resilience.
A busy and rewarding part time role (21 hours per week), this is a great opportunity to join a dedicated team and play an important part in a friendly, creative organisation and one that is already realising some of its bigger ambitions for dance and for creative, social and health outcomes.
You will lead our administrative team, report to the Director and collaborate across the team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. You’ll manage our planning, evaluation, policy review and human resource processes and you’ll be collaborating with team members on driving positive brand awareness, supporting stakeholder events and ensuring financial control. This senior role in charity administration role requires at least five years of relevant experience, ideally in the arts or non-profit sectors.
You will bring strong organisational skills, an analytical mindset and a desire to improve organisational systems and administrative processes. With a proven ability to communicate strategic and operational matters in both verbal or written forms you’ll be able to inspire, listen and motivate to build positive and trusting relationships across the organisation and with partners and stakeholders.
The ideal postholder will have at least 5 years professional experience in a related role with the transferable skills and knowledge required to succeed in the role. They will have a proven ability to communicate strategic and operational matters utilising excellent communication skills and be able to work collaboratively and form effective partnerships, listen, inspire, motivate, manage, negotiate and problem solve.
