Fortnite OG Chapter 1, Season 1 is coming to PS5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch and Android.
Fortnite OG takes things back to the old-school, re-introducing map locations, items and weapons from the early days of Fortnite Battle Royale.
However, unlike previous trips down memory lane, Epic Games has confirmed that Fortnite OG is here to stay.
Indeed, Fortnite OG Chapter 1, Season 1 has a December 6 release date and is believed to have a 1pm GMT UK release time, although other reports suggest it may launch at 3pm GMT.

There’s a chance Epic Games could announce a different release time, alongside server downtime prior to the release of Fortnite OG, so keep checking back for more information.
The old-school game mode will feature shorter, more focused seasons compared to the main game, with the first season running from December 6 until January 31.
Season 1 with launch with Solos, Squads and Zero Build modes, while Ranked is tipped to start later this season.
As you can see from the image of the map below, points of interest include Pleasant Park, Anarchy Acres, Wailing Woods, Tomato Town, Greasy Grove, Dusty Depot, Flush Factory and Fatal Fields.
That’s on top of Moisty Mire, Lonely Lodge, Salty Springs and the classic Retail Row.
According to Epic Games, every tree, car, Chest and object should be in its original place. The Zero Build version will, however, add ziplines and Ascenders to make it easier to get around.
The game will also keep some of the “rough edges” that were present in the original, although other gameplay elements and quality of life improvements will be in line with the current version.
For example, building mechanics will be “uniform with Battle Royale as it is today”, while players will also be able to sprint, slide, mantle, door bash, and move while healing.
Things like Reboot Vans and sniper scope glare will also be present, while max building resources will be set to 999 and double pump is enabled for Shotguns.
Speaking of weapons, fans can expect the return of the old classics, such as the vanilla Assault Rifle, Burst Assault Rifle, Scoped Assault Rifle, Pump Shotgun, Tactical Shotgun, Pistol, Revolver, Submachine Gun and Tactical Machine Gun.
These will be joined by the Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle, Semi-Auto Sniper Rifle, Grenade Launcher and Rocket Launcher, as well as Damage Traps, Ceiling Zappers and Wall Dynamo.
Needless to say, Chapter 1, Season 1 will launch alongside a smaller than usual Battle Pass containing various skins and items.
As you can see from the trailer above, new skins include Renegade Rebel, Aerial Assault Bomber and Skull Commander.
You’ll also be able to unlock new Gliders, Back-bling and Harvesting Tools, not to mention emotes, Sprays and Wraps.
It’s worth remembering that as of Chapter 6, any XP earned in other Fortnite modes can also be used to unlock items in the OG Battle Pass.
