Liverpool host Fulham in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon (kick-off: 3pm) as they return to domestic action after Storm Darragh forced the Merseyside derby’s postponement
Fulham will be without five players when they travel to Liverpool on Saturday. Arne Slot’s team lead the Premier League table by four points and with a game in hand over their rivals.
The Reds were unconvincing in Tuesday’s 1-0 win over Girona in the Champions League. But the victory in Spain has seen Slot’s team all-but-qualify for the last 16 of Europe’s elite competition and avoid a playoff tie in the process.
Liverpool are also unbeaten in all competitions since a shock 1-0 defeat at home to Nottingham Forest in September. The Reds have only dropped points in two other matches this season.

And Slot‘s side will have been further boosted by the news that Saturday’s visitors to Anfield will have several injury and suspension worries to contend with.
The Cottagers will be without five players for this weekend’s trip to Merseyside. Captain Tom Cairney and Calvin Bassey are suspended while the latter’s centre-back partner Joachim Andersen is injured along with Reiss Nelson and Harrison Reed.
“No fresh news, really, just Joachim and Harrison Reed, plus Reiss Nelson from the game we played against Brighton,” Fulham boss Marco Silva said when asked for the injury latest. “They are going to be out for the game, and of course, the third game of Tom Cairney, plus the fifth yellow card from Calvin Bassey.”
Liverpool, meanwhile, could welcome back Federico Chiesa and Diogo Jota for Saturday’s fixture.
“I think they are (available),” Slot said at his pre-match press conference. “We have one training session to go. Federico missed quite a lot.
“We have to see. Maybe Diogo is in the squad, maybe Federico as well but that depends on the numbers we have.”
