There’s nothing like a good holiday, but it can be expensive when you have a few kids.
One mum recently claimed people will be “shocked” at how much it cost to feed her family of seven at a popular holiday spot. It turns out you can travel on a budget after all.
Gemma, known as gemmaloveden on TikTok, explained her family had an evening meal in Tenerife for a really reasonable price. They tucked into a variety of dishes from steak to pizza, and it didn’t cost them too much money.
In the clip, she said: “Evening meal this evening cost €54.84.” Not bad for nearly 10 dinners. It’s fair to say people were left stunned at the price, as they’ve been handed much bigger bills abroad.
The family thoroughly enjoyed their food, and it didn’t break the bank for them to dine out. Tourists were left pleasantly surprised.
One person said: “That would be £150 easy in Turkey.” Another wrote: “How? That’s amazing!” A third replied: “Good price. We normally pay roughly 50 to 60 euros for three people.”
Meanwhile, a fourth also commented: “Amazing value, and your kids seem very well behaved too. That’s amazing.”
Gemma also shared a number of helpful tips on how people can save money when they’re on holiday. As well as breaking down the price of costs when they were out and about, she also prepared meals where they were staying.
This helped the family to make the most of their food, and their budget. Her savvy tips left people really impressed.
Gemma told her followers she also has a Facebook page called Foodie Family Meals where she helps people whip up some tasty dinners. This is the place to go if you want to pick up any more handy hints and tips.
People were very grateful for the advice and took to the comments section to praise the savvy family after their trip abroad.
One person wrote: “Beautiful family, and food looks good. Very reasonable.”
Another added: “Love their table etiquette. Great parenting.” A final person also replied: “That’s amazing. I live in Cyprus. It would be much more than that.”
