Italian luxury label Dolce & Gabbana and US lingerie brand Skims, co-founded in 2019 by Kim Kardashian and Jens Grede, have announced the launch of a collection that “merges Dolce & Gabbana’s Italian lifestyle with Skims’s signature comfort and versatility, delivering a unique selection of sensual, body-enhancing looks that exude confidence and allure,” the two brands said in a press release.
The collection includes some of the most iconic models from the brands’ archives, with a focus on wearability, textures, prints and brand-specific details, notably Dolce & Gabbana’s signature leopard-print motif. The collection comprises sensual lingerie, silk nightwear ensembles, form-shaping trousers and body-hugging corsets. It features a wide range of sizes, from XXS to 4X, with bra cup sizes ranging from 30A to 38DD.
“We hold a genuine affection for Kim and her family,” said Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. “Our shared bond, rooted in a long-standing friendship, naturally inspired this new collaboration centred on inclusivity and body positivity – values close to our hearts and core to Skims,” they added.
The collection campaign has been lensed by artist, photographer and director Nadia Lee Cohen, who has paid tribute to Italian culture and women by portraying Kim Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian Barker in a typical Italian everyday life setting. Additional shots by Donna Trope highlight the collection’s sensual style and alluring details.
“It’s been an honor to collaborate with my friends Domenico and Stefano on this special collection for Dolce & Gabbana and Skims,” said Kim Kardashian, co-founder and CCO of Skims, in a press release. “We’ve taken classic Dolce & Gabbana silhouettes and leopard prints and reimagined them with the incredible fit and comfort that Skims is renowned for. This is a truly iconic partnership that I’m so excited to share with the world,” she added.
The collection will be promoted in-store via special display stands with polished, rounded shapes and golden details, and will be available for sale at Skims stores, on the Skims e-shop, at select Dolce & Gabbana stores, and at leading luxury retailers, including Neiman Marcus.
