A freight train derailment on the West Coast Main Line has led to railway chaos this morning, as services have been cancelled. Avanti West Coast, which has services that operate on the line, has warned of major delays and multiple cancellations after the train derailed.
The train came off the tracks between Carlisle and Oxenholme Lake District on Wednesday night (May 29), according to National Rail.
