2025 National Games

The 32nd National Games will be held from Friday 23 May to Monday 26 May.

This exciting weekend will feature a range of sports and activities, including Powerlifting, Athletics, Shooting, Cycling, Swimming, New Age Curling and Team Sports.

The entry fee for the 2025 National Games will be £30 per athlete. The charity has maintained the same price for the past 15 years, resulting in the charity heavily subsidising the event to keep it as accessible as possible. However, like other organisations and charities, due to the rising costs across all areas, we have made a small increase of £5 to the entry fee this year. We appreciate your understanding and continued support.

LimbPower is thrilled to announce the return of the LimbPower Games 2025, the UK’s premier multi-sport event for amputees and individuals with limb difference. Taking place on 31 May and 1 June 2025 at the iconic Stoke Mandeville Stadium, this empowering weekend promises an unforgettable experience filled with sport, connection, and community.

Discover the Power of Sport: Participants will have the chance to try a wide range of adapted sports, including archery, athletics, boxing, cycling, fencing, sitting volleyball, swimming, wheelchair tennis and standing tennis, triathlon, wheelchair rugby, para canoeing, and many more. Expert coaches, experienced in disability sports, will lead each session, ensuring a supportive and welcoming environment for all skill levels. Don’t forget to visit the Cycling Clinic where prosthetists will help you with your set-up and have you on the track in no time!

The Tokyo 2025 Deaflympics takes place this November, but athletes from across UK need your help to get there.

The Deaflympics is such an important event in our deaf sporting calendar and Chris discusses its history, why the games are so important, and the challenges faced by deaf athletes who want to compete and represent their country.

Special Olympics GB – 31 January

Competition Support Grant launched by Special Olympics GB to enhance athlete event opportunities

Special Olympics Great Britain (GB) is delighted to announce the launch of its 2025 Competition Support Grant, aimed at helping its clubs create more prestigious opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities to compete in sporting events.

Building upon the success of previous years, the 2025 grant seeks to expand the number of and the quality of sanctioned competitions across England, Scotland and Wales, building on the 75 events that were delivered in 2024. 

Accredited Special Olympics GB clubs are encouraged to apply for a grant of up to £1,000 to support the delivery of a national sporting competition. It will also continue to provide grants of up to £500 for a regional competition. Applications can be made online now, with a deadline of 31 March.
