French lingerie brand Dim has inked a long-term partnership deal with chic Parisian style icon Inès de la Fressange. De la Fressange will have an input on Dim’s new products, and will be directly involved in developing the next collection. Dim’s goal is to “reposition” itself as “a dynamic player in the fashion landscape,” the company said in a press release.
Dim said that de la Fressange, “a quintessential symbol of casual, effortless style and elegance,” has selected a few items to be highlighted within the brand’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection. The assortment includes unisex pyjamas and a range of underwear that will be labelled as ‘sélection Inès de la Fressange’.
For the Fall/Winter 2025-26, Karl Lagerfeld’s former muse has developed the Dim collection in collaboration with the brand’s in-house design team. The result are “a classic line, focusing on comfort and timeless style, and a retro-vintage line, bold and full of character, which will also include a range of tights.”
This is a major new partnership for Inès de la Fressange, whose 10-year collaboration with Japanese brand Uniqlo came to an end in summer 2024. Inès de la Fressange is thriving with Fabrice Boé at the helm. Last autumn, the label opened a new store in Paris, in the Passy district, and is keen to accelerate its international expansion by bringing in new investors.
Dim has given new impetus to its long-standing presence in the fashion sector, which it first entered in 1953. The brand now belongs to the Dim Brands International (DBI) group, which also comprises Playtex, Nur Die and Lovable, and has been owned by US investment fund Regent L.P. since 2021. In summer 2024, the brand launched Dim Move, a new sportswear line. Dim operates a production unit in Autun, France, where it manufactures its tights range.
DBI has nearly 3,000 employees in Europe, and has stated it recorded a revenue of approximately €500 million in 2023, half of which were reportedly generated by Dim.
