The summer holidays are coming to an end, which makes it the perfect time to escape the UK and fly somewhere consistently hot and sunny.
But while many Brits want to make a quick getaway from the unpredictable weather, it’s important to know which popular destinations are the cheapest to fly to.
Sambla collated a list of the top 50 most visited countries based on inbound tourism numbers and used either their capital city or popular tourist spot, to calculate the factors that contribute to the cost of a summer holiday.
These factors, along with the destination’s average daily hours of sunshine in September, were each ranked on a scale of one to 10 (10 being the most cost-effective), and a combined average score was calculated.
