Hullbridge ended a run of five straight defeats with a hard-fought victory at Burroughs Park.
And Hart, who skippered Sports to victory, wants the win to be a sign of things to come.
“The win was very important for us to kick on now,” said Hart.
“We have a lot of momentum and confidence that we can keep bringing into these games now.
“I think it shows we have got the character to go head to head with anyone but it’s important we take the same respect into the next game and have the same focus we had on Saturday.”
Hullbridge now sit 16th in the standings.
And Hart was pleased to see Hullbridge finally rewarded for producing a good performance.
“Going into this game we’d had some good performances and things were starting to come together, but the results weren’t there,” said Hart “We knew the hard work in training and games would pay off.
“We just had to stick together and keep working hard to make sure it did.
“It was an exciting game and we’re delighted to get the win.”
But Hart now wants to back the victory up by winning at Romford this weekend.
“Results are what we really need now to climb that table,” said Hart.
“With many games to go and a lot of points to play for we’ve got to keep building on this and take each game as it comes with the same mentality, I back these boys all the way and I’m sure we will start picking up points fast.”
