The new era of Kentucky Wildcats basketball is officially underway as Mark Pope has taken Lexington by storm.
After filling out a solid coaching staff, now their attention has turned to the roster, as the team will be completely different from the Cats last season.
One of the big ways in today’s college athletics that rosters are built is through NIL, and today, while joining KSR, Coach Pope gave the BBN an opportunity to come be a part of a first-look meet and greet with the team.
The way it works is if you subscribe to any Club Blue package by May 15th, you will get access to the meet and greet event on June 15th.
The whole NIL situation around Kentucky basketball hasn’t been the greatest up until now, and it appears this new staff knows the importance of building out rosters in the new landscape of the sport.
If an open press conference got 16,000+ people to come out, I would imagine this would be a popular event as well.
Go Cats!
