It’s that time of year again when windows and festive lights take centre stage in shopping districts as retailers and organising bodies pull out all the stops to attract visitors. And London’s Bond Street is going the extra mile this year…. with Chanel’s help.
In celebration of the festive season, Chanel Fragrance & Beauty in collaboration with Bond Street will switch on the festive lights on the key Mayfair street on 14 November. They’ll stay illuminated until 12 January.
For the first time, the lights, which have been a tradition for over 60 years on Bond Street, will be illuminated with an exclusive Chanel Nº5 festive light installation.
The Christmas season is always a massive promotional one for the Chanel and its fragrances and the link-up comes shortly after Chanel released the brand new campaign for its top perfume starring Margot Robbie.
The lights will run the length of Old and New Bond Streets from Piccadilly up to Oxford Street and will “reflect the street’s entwined heritage with the House”.
The Chanel contribution to the lights (that should also act as a high-profile reminder to visit the Chanel flagship on Bond Street) makes strong sense. As well as that flagship, the company also has its global HQ on the street.
