Millions of Brits go abroad every year, and lots of them head to Benidorm.
But an expert who works at the popular holiday destination said people have a common misconception about the tourist hotspot. Frank, aka frankthestagman on TikTok, claims people often say the area is “full of men”.
But it’s not quite the case, and he knows this all too well. Frank organises stag and hen parties in Benidorm, so he knows how often women are keen to visit.
In fact, he recently posted a video to prove his point. In the clip, you see lots of women dancing, drinking and having a good time. Some are evening donning fancy dress having really embraced the party mood.
As part of his mission to show that Benidorm is for everyone, he seems to have proved his point. It looks like lots of people head to the island to party throughout the year.
The video has since been liked hundreds of times, and people seemed to agree with him. Frank makes loads of videos about Benidorm to offer tourist advice, and promote the area.
He even gives weather updates sometimes to let people know how hot it is throughout the year. The travel guru really keeps people entertained with his candid clips.
Under one of his videos, one person said: “Wish I was back there.” Another wrote: “Fly out 2 October. Can’t wait.”
A third replied: “Flying out tomorrow. Cannot wait.” Meanwhile, a fourth commented: “We’re here Big Man. Just got the beers in at Miller’s bar.”
Earlier this month, Frank issued a stark warning to tourists heading to Benidorm. He said people need to be “very, very careful” when visiting as there’s a “big problem” with people getting their phones stolen.
In the video, he explained: “Generally, what happens is, someone comes upto you and they’ll say to you ‘oh, I’m with some friends, and I’m lost, and I don’t know where I’m going. Can you do a Google Map search for me?’
“What you do, because you’re a nice person, is you whip your phone out, you get your Google Maps up, and as soon as you get your Google Maps up, they grab the phone and run off with it.”
If someone comes up to you and tells this kind of story he urges you not to get your phone out. He admitted he knows it’s a “horrible” thing to say, but you need to be careful, as it’s a problem at the moment.
