Many schools across the UK have already broken up or are just about to break up for the summer holidays.

Many families will be getting prepared and excited for their family trips this year, or are perhaps looking for a last-minute trip to whisk the kids away.

New research from Booking.com has found the most trending destinations for UK families to travel to this summer with 45 percent of Britons revealing that their main holiday motivator is exploring new places.

Meanwhile, over a quarter of British families say they would likely allocate a travel budget to having someone care for their child or children on their trip.

So it is no wonder that British families are broadening their cultural horizons and looking further afield this summer, with searches for trips to Africa up by 10 percent and Asia up 13 percent year on year.

But it’s not just Brits who will be jetting off this summer. Booking.com’s research also found that Europeans as a whole will have the most well-travelled children, with 42 percent of flight searches by Europeans including at least one child. 

Kids living in Asia and North America round out the top three at 33 percent and 32 percent respectively.

Elsewhere, Europe itself is proving to be a big draw for families this summer, with several key destinations trending in the global top 10.
