Balqis Capital, a leading name in private market credit, has announced a new bat sponsorship deal with England cricketer Liam Livingstone.
The announcement comes just hours after Livingstone was signed by Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the IPL 2025 auction for an impressive 8.75 crore.
The 12-month partnership with Balqis Capital will support the 31-year-old Cumbrian all-rounder, who is currently ranked the number one ICC IT20 all-rounder and recently captained the England ODI team during their 2024 tour of the West Indies.
Livingstone also plays for Lancashire, Birmingham Phoenix, and Pretoria Capitals and has previously represented Rajasthan Royals and Punjab Kings in the IPL.
Arron Lilley, Global Sales Director at Balqis Capital, expressed his pride in partnering with the cricketing superstar: “At Balqis we have a huge passion for sport and we are excited to support Liam with this sponsorship deal.
“We are always looking for ways we can partner with athletes on their journeys through sponsorship and collaboration. This also includes working with them on what we do best – sourcing private credit projects. We have worked with several athletes as clients over the years, we specialise in working with advisers and high net worth individuals, so it seems the perfect synergy,” he added.
Private credit involves providing external funding for ventures or legal cases in exchange for a share of the proceeds if successful. It is commonly utilised in cases with high costs, such as commercial disputes and intellectual property litigation.
Offering faster access to funds and customised terms, private credit is especially suited to high-growth businesses or those in need of alternative financing solutions. Its popularity as an investment opportunity continues to rise due to its attractive yields in low-interest-rate environments.
