Aesop‘s quick off the mark to open the luxury skincare brand’s first new store of 2025, heralding its North of England debut.
Aesop has joined Redical-operated Victoria Leeds’ premium tenant mix with a 753 sq ft unit alongside fellow best-in-class beauty brands, Le Labo, L’Occitane, and Molton Brown in the Grade II listed Victoria Quarter.
The new store delivers the Australian brand’s full fragrance, skin, hair, and bodycare range across a sequence of three rooms. These are inspired “by the opulent bathrooms of the late Victoria era”, featuring timber-panelled cabinets and vintage stacked bookshelves, with the design “weaving itself into the original features of the Grade II listed” centre.
This latest opening follows a standout year for health and beauty at Victoria Leeds, with a 15% increase in sales across the category in 2024 compared to 2023, says Redical.
Rachel Bradburn, leasing director at Victoria Leeds, added: “We celebrated a successful 2024 which cemented us as the go to destination for luxury brand debuts outside of London, further evidenced by Aesop’s decision to open their first northern store with us.
She noted that Victoria Leeds celebrated a successful performance in 2024 “that saw December and annual sales increases, record-breaking footfall, notable new brand signings, as well as several refits and upsizes”.
She added: “2025 looks to be another year of brand firsts, new and exciting concepts, as well as enhanced customer and brand offerings, so watch this space.”
