Wout Weghorst: Burnley striker joins Ajax for undisclosed fee
Ajax have signed Burnley striker Wout Weghorst for an undisclosed fee on a two-year deal.
The 32-year-old Netherlands international joined the Clarets for £12m from Wolfsburg in January 2022.
However, he scored just two goals in 20 Premier League appearances as they were relegated to the Championship.
He was loaned to Besiktas and then Manchester United in 2022-23 before spending last season with Hoffenheim.
New Burnley boss Scott Parker brought him off the bench in their opening weekend win over Luton for his first appearance for the club in over two years.
Weghorst, who has been capped 39 times, described himself as being “incredibly proud”, external to have joined the Amsterdam side.
