If you’ve ever dreamt of sleeping in the sea, you may now be in with a chance.
This is because the world’s most expensive underwater hotel room has been revealed, and it can only be accessed by private elevator. A clip of the Conrad resort in the Maldives was shared on Facebook by content creators Kara and Nate, and it’s got a lot of people talking.
In the clip, they say: “I promise, this is going to be worth the wait. You are immediately greeted by fish as soon as you walk out of the elevator.
“Then you come down this hallway, which leads you to the bedroom. Even the ceiling is made of glass.”
Naturally, this allows you to see everything surrounding you in the sea. You’re literally trapped in the ocean, with all the fish and sea creatures floating around you.
They then take you into the “incredible bedroom”, and they show how close you are to the fish swimming around the reef. There’s even a small private sitting area that allows you to relax and take it all in.
If you’ve ever wondered what it feels like to drive a submarine, this experience probably gets pretty close. Not to mention, it’s quite something when the bathroom is described as the “best room in the house”.
The couple explain: “The toilet raises up to greet you. And this is your view while you’re sitting on the toilet.
“This is your view while you wash your hands. The mirrors even move, so you can watch the fish while you brush your teeth.”
There’s even a waterfall shower, which means you can have a wash while being surrounded by the natural beauty of the world. It’s pretty incredible when you think about it.
Thousands of people have viewed the clip since it was shared, and it got a lot of people talking. It seems they would be keen to try out the underwater experience, but many also have their concerns.
One person said: “It would be a fun visit, but I ain’t staying there more than maybe an hour.” Another wrote: “I prefer to sleep in a place that makes me feel safe, free of worries.”
A third replied: “It is beautiful but I need to be above water when I sleep!” Meanwhile, a fourth also commented: “Would I sleep there? Absolutely not! I would be awake the whole time staring out the glass watching the world of fascinating sea life passing by!”
