University of Kentucky head basketball coach Mark Pope can now officially call the Bluegrass State home after purchasing a $4.75 million house in Lexington.
According to the Fayette County Clerk’s Office, the deed shows the home is located on The Grange Lane inside the Grange Estates, a luxury countryside gated community on Paris Pike.
On more than 11.5 acres, the two-story residential property has a detached garage and an outdoor pool, according to the Fayette County Property Valuation Administrator. The more than 10,000-square-foot property has six bedrooms, six full bathrooms and three half-bathrooms.
It was purchased from former Lexington television news anchor and former Miss Kentucky Melanie Glasscock Simpson-Conley, who purchased the home in 2015 from James and Agnes Metzger for $2 million.
The Grange Estates is an exclusive, luxurious neighborhood in Lexington with homes ranging in size from 6,000 square feet to upwards of 10,000 square feet, according to BEX Realty, and ranging in price from $660,000 to $2.5 million on average.
It is located near the Lexington Country Club, with Keeneland’s Thoroughbred Training Center nearby.
