Which NCAA men’s teams to watch on the bubble before March Madness
USAT’s Jordan Mendoza gives his teams to keep an eye on for ‘bubble watch’ as March Madness selection Sunday approaches.

Heading into today’s regular-season finale, Kentucky basketball coach Mark Pope sees similiarities in his foe, Missouri.
The Tigers, Pope said, “run a lot of the same actions” on offense as the Wildcats. And the Tigers “value spacing” offensively, too.
“I think they’re a really good team, and clearly, they’ve been terrific offensively,” Pope said of Missouri, which ranks among the top three nationally in free throws attempted (27.2) and made (19.8) per game, with both figures leading the SEC.
The Tigers also are first in the conference in bench points per game (36.73), field goal percentage (48.9) and effective field goal percentage (56.7) and are second in 3-point percentage at 37.3, a category where it trails UK by a hundredths of a percentage point.
“They have incredibly capable shooters that are dangerous,” Pope said. “They have really dangerous perimeter players.”
And then defensively, no team in the league pilfers the ball more often: Missouri averages 9.7 steals per outing.
“They’re one of the best steals teams in the country. But if you kind of dig deeper into the numbers, their transition is still prolific, even if you take out the steals numbers,” Pope said. “So they’re pushing in transition really hard.”
Both Kentucky (20-10, 9-8 SEC) and Missouri (21-9, 10-7) enter today’s tussle as ranked squads.
The Tigers are 19th in the USA TODAY Coaches poll and 15th in the Associated Press Top 25; the Wildcats are 24th and 19th, respectively.
Here’s what you need to know to follow today’s game from home:
