The top-seeded Celtics will look to keep rolling against the eighth-seeded Heat when they meet in Game 2 of the NBA Eastern Conference playoffs in Boston on Wednesday.
Jayson Tatum had 23 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists to lead Boston to a dominant, 114-94 victory to open their first-round playoff series. The Celtics had six players finish in double figures and led by as many 34 points in the final quarter.
Boston will not get too comfortable. Last season, Miami knocked the Celtics out of the conference finals in seven games.
However, this is a different Celtics team. It went 38-4 at home and swept the regular-season series with Miami.
The Heat are playing without six-time All-Star Jimmy Butler, who is out for the entire series with a knee injury. Terry Rozier is also out of the lineup with a neck injury.
Bam Adebayo had 24 points, Delon Wright added 17 points, and Jaime Jaquez Jr. finished with 16 points for Miami in Game 1.
Game 2 of the first round NBA Eastern Conference playoff game between Celtics vs. Heat will air on TNT. The game can also be streamed on Sling.
