It’s brilliant from Jacob Bethell in the field for England! After a strong start from Archer, West Indies get muddled between the wickets and pay the price thanks to a bit of magic in the field.

Hope wants to get off strike, Lewis doesn’t fancy it, and Bethell swoops to throw down the stumps before Hope can get back in his ground. England are jubilant, it’s brilliant fielding from the youngster. But Hope is fuming, and you can see why. There was definitely a single there.

The dangerous Nicholas Pooran is the new batter and he sets his stall out with a huge six into the leg side off the final ball of the over.

AN INTERESTING ‘BEACH’ AREA

One of the issues with the conditions is an extremely damp area in the outfield. The solution has been to essentially cover it with sand, so there’s a patch down the ground in St Lucia that could be a slight concern for fielders. Let’s keep an eye on that.

West Indies have made three changes, with Shai Hope, Alzarri Joseph and Shimron Hetmyer coming into the XI in place of Brandon King, Matthew Forde and Sherfane Rutherford.

England meanwhile decide to give Rehan Ahmed a game in place of Adil Rashid.

England have won the toss once again and it’s no surprise that they opt to stick with a winning formula and bowl first. With some weather around that was even more of a no-brainer decision for Jos Buttler.

BUTTLER’S BARNSTORMING RETURN

This series is Jos Buttler’s first cricket since the T20 World Cup, and he showed that there’s no doubt over his quality with a blistering knock in Sunday’s match. Coming in at a new role at number three, Buttler accelerated in dramatic fashion, making a potentially tricky chase look extremely straightforward.

There’s yet to be a confirmed start time or the toss, but the players are out on the field and warming up so signs are encouraging.

HOW SAQIB MAHMOOD GOT A HEAD START

One of the big factors in England having a 2-0 lead in this series has been their ability to take wickets in the powerplay, and Saqib Mahmood bagged five of them across the two matches.

He’s a talented multi-format bowler, but Mahmood has revealed another possible reason for his excellent form, telling reporters that he travelled to the Caribbean early to train with Chris Jordan ahead of the tour.

“I made the decision to come out early and I phoned CJ. The best thing, instead of just coming in and having a bowl, was the attention to detail we had in training to how some of the guys would bat.

“It definitely put me in a position where I was ready to go once that series started.”

Poor Reece Topley doesn’t have much luck. The left-arm pace bowler has been a valuable part of England’s white-ball set-up when fit, but it’s the fitness part that has been his issue.

The 30-year-old’s injury history is lengthy, and when he was forced from the field during the first match of this series he responded by smashing a chair in frustration. He has subsequently been fined by the ICC for his outburst, and has been ruled out of the remainder of the tour.

A fully fit Topley is a major asset for England – fingers crossed he’s available to be considered for the Champions Trophy squad in the new year.

WHAT HAPPENED IN THE LAST GAME

Jos Buttler lit up Barbados to put England 2-0 up on Sunday evening, making short work of a run chase after his bowlers had restricted West Indies well.

There’s a bit of rain around and a wet outfield, so the toss has been delayed by 15 minutes. The covers are currently on so there’s a chance that could get pushed back a little further.
