A West Brom fan has died at their match with Sheffield Wednesday.
The midlands club said the supporter had suffered a medical emergency during the game at Hillsborough.
It said it had made contact with their family to pass on its condolences.
In a statement on its website the club said: “The thoughts of all of us will remain with the supporter’s loved ones at this desperately sad time.”
The club has not given any more details and asked that the family be allowed to grieve privately.
Sheffield Wednesday said it was “deeply saddened to confirm the passing of a West Bromwich Albion supporter during today’s game”.
It said its thoughts were also with the fan’s family and loved ones.
