Unisex American streetwear brand WeSC has unveiled a UK website (that will also serve Europe), which it said “marks a major step in the brand’s international expansion”.
The name stands for We Are the Superlative Conspiracy and the company said that it has seen a growing UK audience in recent years so the time was right in the brand’s 25th anniversary year to offer consumers a UK-specific webstore.
It also plans to open a London store early next year as part of its global expansion strategy.
Britain is actually the first market to get a dedicated webstore with a company spokesperson telling FashionNetwork.com that “WeSC is in a pivotal stage of re-emergence and growth, and the launch of our UK website marks a significant milestone for us. Currently, our primary e-commerce platform serves a global audience from the US, but this UK-specific website is the first localised international site for the brand in the recent years. The UK website will also serve as a hub for all EU-based shoppers, catering to customers across Europe”.
WeSC chose the UK because it said it’s has a “rich streetwear culture and long-standing support for global urban fashion brands. Our decision to launch here first reflects the deep connection we’ve built with the region over the years, as well as the growing demand from UK and EU-based customers for easier access to our products. British consumers have a strong sense of individual style, which aligns with WeSC’s ethos of self-expression and creativity.
“Over the years, we’ve noticed that the UK has been one of our largest international markets in terms of engagement outside the US, and wanted to bring the brand to where our fans are”.
In fact, thank to its past collaborations, campaigns, and its presence at various international events “many British customers have been with us since the early 2000s when WeSC’s skate and music culture first gained traction across Europe. We’ve seen significant support from British fans, and launching the UK site allows us to cater to their needs directly with localised services, faster shipping, and exclusive product drops”.
