Happy Wednesday, BBN!
The Kentucky Wildcats took down the No. 6 Duke Blue Devils in an absolute thriller for the Champions Classic, coming away with a 77-72 victory.
BBN is over the moon right now, and deservedly so. That was the most exciting regular season win we’ve seen in a long time.
Had Kentucky lost this game, I don’t think anyone would have been too upset because no one really knew the true expectations of this team.
But for Mark Pope to have this team for only a few months and put a gritty performance out there is something this fanbase will never forget.
Many things played into that win, but the two biggest takeaways for me were seeing the connectedness of this team in crunch time, and that Andrew Carr might be our best player down the stretch.
What a win and it should be celebrated all week. Kentucky Basketball is back.
Tweet of the Day:
There were a lot of awesome tweets and moments last night, but seeing these two take a victory lap and celebrate with the team takes the cake.
