Footage has emerged of a Ukrainian lobbing a fish at a Russian drone as it hovers low over a stretch of water in Kherson region.

A pair of fishermen are seen travelling alongside reeds in a motorised boat and one picks up the fish from the water before hurling it and hitting the drone.

Footage recorded by the drone shows a direct hit which almost takes it down.

The impact causes the drone to jolt and it quickly ascends to a higher altitude in an attempt to evade further strikes.

It soon adjusts course and appears to leave the area.

The clip ends and it remains unclear what happened next.
