The Kentucky basketball team was ready to ring in the New Year with a win. Kentucky had a ten-day holiday break to let the loss to Ohio State simmer. They shook off that stank before the start of SEC play with an 88-54 victory over Brown.
Kentucky started slow on offense, but the Bears from the Ivy League could not do much either. Brown had three turnovers on their first four possessions, setting the tone for the rest of the game. The Cats were blocking shots and jumping passing lanes to generate offense. Kentucky scored 33 points off 23 Brown turnovers.
Jaxson Robinson and Andrew Carr provided enough early offense for the Cats to get going. Robinson had the Cats’ first eight points of the game. Carr scored all 14 of his points in 15 first-half minutes.
Otega Oweh pulled a reverse-Carr. Eleven of his 13 points came in the second half. He scored the first five points after intermission to create an insurmountable lead over the Ivy Leaguers. Take a closer look at some of the best plays from the Kentucky basketball win at Rupp Arena.
