A caravan retailer has gone into administration after more than 50 years of trading, resulting in the loss of 34 jobs.
Broad Lane Leisure Limited has supplied caravans, motor homes and campers nationally since 1971.
Administrator FRP Advisory said the Warwickshire-based company had faced “challenging trading conditions” due to a reduction in demand.
A small number of employees had been retained to assist administrators, FRP Advisory added.
The family-run business, with headquarters in Alcester, ceased trading with the appointment of administrators on 9 July.
A statement on its website said its premises were currently closed to the public.
Ben Jones, partner at FRP and joint administrator, said “mounting pressures” had left the company “unable to meet its financial obligations”.
“Regrettably, this meant ceasing to trade and reducing the workforce to a skeleton staff,” he added.
“We are now exploring options for the business and would encourage any parties with an interest in acquiring the business’s assets to make contact with us as soon as possible.”
