As winter approaches, many are keen to escape the cold and jet off to a warm destination to soak up some last-minute sun.
In the last three months alone, searches for ‘winter sun’ increased by a staggering 83 percent on average.
With this in mind, Travelbag have created a list of popular global holiday destinations and analysed Google search volume data to find out which locations are the most searched for across the UK.
Whether you’re seeking a vibrant city break or a peaceful beach escape, Brits are eager to explore new destinations around the world.
The top spot is a shopping heaven thanks to its endless high street and designer brands. Let’s not forget that is easy to get around by foot and visit its many tourist attractions.
Average UK monthly search volume – 23,620
Vietnam is known for its beautiful temples, delicious food and rich culture. Brits placed the country in tenth place with an average search of 23,620. Hanoi is the capital of Vietnam but Ho Chi Minh City, Buon Ma Thuot and Viet Tri are other popular destinations.

Many Brits flock to India for its winter sun, affordable food and drink and stunning beaches. Some of the more popular hotspots include Mumbai, New Dehli and Goa with on average 28,190 search for India each month.
