Insurtech provider Urban Jungle today launches travel insurance, adding to its range of home insurance products in a big step for the company as it goes ‘multi-line’.
Customers can purchase both single-trip and annual multi-trip policies, to be covered for events such as medical emergencies, cancellations, delays and lost luggage.
As with its home insurance products, Urban Jungle has removed unnecessary questions from the quote process, the policies are customisable, and there are no hidden fees for making changes or cancelling.
The launch marks a new partnership between Urban Jungle and PJ Hayman & Co., who will be arranging the travel insurance policies.
Urban Jungle uses the latest technology to help keep insurance affordable and accessible for its customers, whether that’s through its use of AI to catch fraud or offering an online-first service.
Founded by Jimmy Williams and Greg Smyth in 2017, the company has grown rapidly and in April 2024 secured $14M in additional funding. The business now has 85 UK staff and has helped over 300,000 customers.
The company is a certified B Corp, offsets 100% of its carbon emissions and uses entirely renewable electricity in its offices.
Jimmy Williams, CEO and Co-Founder at Urban Jungle, commented:
“At Urban Jungle we’ve always had the goal of helping customers get fairer cover across a range of insurance products, so it’s fantastic to continue our product rollout.
Just like our flagship home insurance products, our travel insurance is designed to be simple, clear and fair, and customers can get insured in minutes.
Having announced further growth funding mid last year, it’s a really exciting time for Urban Jungle as we continue to expand to new verticals.
It’s part of our Urban Jungle vision of a world where everybody feels confident about their financial future, starting with insurance.”
