Under Armour is celebrating a UK golf industry double after achieving the titles of being the top selling men’s golf apparel brand in the UK in 2024 – for the 9th year in a row – and having the no.1 selling golf shoe in the HOVR Fade 2 SL*.
Having first claimed the No.1 apparel spot in 2016, UA now holds 18.1% of the On and Off Course market combined in units sold, and 16% in sales value, according to Golf Datatech market reports for 2024.
The No.1 selling HOVR Fade 2 SL sold over 29% more units than its nearest competitor and has helped Under Armour extend its 2024 footwear market to the No.2 position of 21.5% (Golf Datatech 2024 – Footwear – Units Sold On & Off Course Combined).
The rise in year-on-year units sold for UA is even more impressive when put into the context of a UK footwear market that has seen a 5.2% year-on-year decline across the full market in unit sales.
Under Armour’s industry-leading market shares, across both apparel and footwear, have been supported by the continued service success in 2024 of its state-of-the-art UK logistics warehouse facility. The facility has helped the brand achieve best-in-class service to its retail partners across 2024. From Q2 onwards the service data shows that all UA At-Once orders are being processed and shipped in less than 1.5 days.
“Success doesn’t happen without the trust of both our valued retail partners, and the end consumer that walks into store and makes a conscious decision to buy Under Armour ahead of competitor brands. UA is uniquely positioned to talk to golfers of all ages, whether they’ve just taken up the game or been playing all their life. We are thankful for this trust and support and remain 100% committed to delivering on our promise to make all athletes better”.
