Bristol Airport has suspended all flight operations due to heavy snowfall, causing significant disruption to travellers on Saturday evening.
The major travel hub confirmed the suspension will remain in place until later tonight as staff battle “challenging weather” conditions.
The disruption is primarily affecting inbound flights, with airport teams working to clear snow from the runways.
Megabus UK has also suspended its airport services this evening due to the severe weather conditions.
Two flights have been cancelled and 18 delayed at Bristol Airport as the snowfall continues to disrupt services.
Flight tracking data shows at least nine flights have been diverted to alternative airports including Cardiff, Birmingham and Belfast.
The airport warned on its website that “snow fall at Bristol may result in some delays to flights” and advised passengers to contact their airlines directly.
Customers are being urged to check with their carriers for the latest flight information as the situation develops.
