LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – The full University of Kentucky men’s basketball schedule was officially announced Tuesday and features 18 SEC matchups and 13 non-conference games.
Noteworthy among the non-conference games, which all take place in 2024, are games against Duke, Gonzaga and Louisville. The Duke game is a true neutral court meeting as part of the Champions Classic at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta on Nov. 12. Gonzaga has a bit of a home-court edge, even though the game is technically a neutral court game as well, taking place in Seattle’s Climate Pledge Arena as part of the Battle in Seattle on Dec. 7. The Cats will host the Cards in the 56th installment of the rivalry on Dec. 14. The Cats hold a 39-17 advantage in the series, including a current two-game win streak.
Other noteworthy non-conference games are Ohio State as part of the CBS Sports Classic in historic Madison Square Garden on Dec. 21 and a road game against Clemson as part of the SEC/ACC Challenge on Dec. 3.
In head coach Mark Pope’s first season manning the sideline for UK, he’ll have an even balance of nine home games and nine road games in SEC play, starting on Jan. 4 at home against Florida and ending on March 8 at Missouri before the SEC Tournament begins play on March 12.
