With summer finally upon us, people across Britain are planning their holidays at home and abroad.
Many will opt for a British holiday at some of the country’s most beautiful coastal spots, but many beaches quickly become crowded as soon as temperatures soar.
But one beach in Cornwall is largely ignored by tourists despite having been described as “one of the best in the world.”
Pedn Vounder Beach is located near Land’s End and Porthcurno near Cornwall’s southernmost tip.
It is famed for its blue water and white sand. Word of its beauty has started to spread, with Instagram influencers now using the beach as a picturesque backdrop.

But Porthcurno remains a more trodden path for tourists in the region, meaning Pedn Vounder could be a nice quiet spot for those looking for some serenity this summer.
As the Telegraph reports, visiitors can stay at Downs Barn Farm for a luxury B&B for just £130 a night.
Posting on TripAdvisor, one person said: “Wow! The best of Cornwall beaches and one of the best in the world.
“Magnificent beach! I’ve posted a photo to illustrate getting down to the beach from the cliff hike. I was worried with alll of these warning but it is actually easy if you have normal coordination and fitness.
“I recommend descending the path to the right of the photo (person in white at bottom of that path), not the middle or path going to the left of the photo (person in black clothing for reference).
“From the trail, you would be looking for a path to your left as you face the cliff drop off.”
Another added: “Breathtakingly beautiful! This beach cove really is gorgeous, the water is crystal clear and a stunning turquoise colour, you wouldn’t believe it’s in the UK!
“Only about a mile from the nearest parking lot, but it definitely isn’t a trip for the faint hearted. It is a very steep hike/climb down to get onto the beach, virtually rock climbing. Make sure you take all the essentials too as there is nothing around once you get there.”
