Manchester-based athleisure brand Adanola was ranked the seventh fastest-growing private company in the UK, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 202% a year for three years.
Hampshire-based outdoor clothing label Passenger, which last year was named the ninth fastest-growing business in the country, fell to 14th in the latest ranking, followed by bridalwear retailer Six Stories in 15th place.
With a CAGR growth of 171%, Passenger is the second-fastest growing fashion retail business in the UK, being surpassed only by Adanola. Athleisure’s reign continued with Castore in 34th place, Poole-based ThruDark in 61st and Drapers 30 Under 30 2022 alumni Aybl Group, which took the crown of the fastest-growing UK business in 2022, completing the ranking in 100th place,
Out of the five highest ranking clothing retail businesses, four are based in Manchester: Adanola, Six Stories, Castore and womenswear brand Club L London, which ranked 54th on the Sunday Times list.
Bolton-based Represent and Cambridgeshire’s Mauvais were the only two men’s ready-to-wear fashion businesses to make it on this year’s ranking, in 68th and 82nd place, respectively, followed by womenswear brands Jaded London and Disturbia in 83rd and 84th place.
