If you thought the best flight deals were over following Black Friday and Cyber Monday, think again.
Tuesday December 2 marks ‘Travel Tuesday’, which sees airlines such as Ryanair, EasyJet and British Airways slashing their prices for fares.
According to experts, Travel Tuesday exists because we’re currently in low season, when far fewer people travel. As a result, companies offer discounts to get people booking and to fill up planes.
But it’s not just airlines, you’ll also find great deals on hotel stays, cruises, and holidays.
Whether you’re flying from Stansted, Luton, Gatwick, or somewhere outside the UK, Ryanair is offering a wide range of deals this Cyber Week, but none quite as appealing as on Travel Tuesday.
For one day only, the budget airline has launched a sale with flights available from just £19.99 for travel throughout January until February 16. There are discounts across Ryanair’s 235 plus destinations.
You can take a quick trip to Dublin for a delicious pint of Guinness, ditch the gloves and beanie and pop over to Barcelona or Marrakesh for some much-needed sunshine, or tick off a last-minute Christmas market trip with flights to Vienna or Budapest.
You’ll have to be quick though, as this is a 24-hour sale that ends at midnight tonight.
There are also bargain plane fares to be had from EasyJet, with flights to various destinations from £23.99 one way, flying in December and January.
And if you’re looking for a hassle-free holiday, EasyJet’s Travel Tuesday offers will get you winter holidays from £229 per person for seven nights, valid on holidays up to February 28.
You can score 20% off all December and early 2025 flights and 15% off 2025 summer hot spots with Jet2’s sale. The discount applies on all flights until March 31 2025.
You can even turn your flights into a fully-fledged holiday for family or friends, with up to £400 off package deals for four people.
Be quick though, as the sale ends at midnight tonight.
While TUI doesn’t have any specific Travel Tuesday deals, the company does have some offers available this week that are worth snapping up.
For some winter sun, head to Boa Vista, Cape Verde, for seven nights at just £1320 per person, staying at Hotel Riu Touareg on an all-inclusive basis. The price is based on two adults sharing a twin room with a balcony or terrace, with flights departing from London Gatwick on December 31 with 20kg hold luggage and transfers.
Travellers can also get 28% off a trip to Hurghada in Egypt. TUI offers a seven-night holiday staying at the Jaz Bluemarine Resort on an all-inclusive basis from £973 per person. Price is based on two adults sharing a one bedroom family room with balcony or terrace, with flights departing from London Gatwick on December 31 with 20kg hold luggage and transfers.
Thanks to Travel Tuesday, you can travel around the Riviera Maya, the Isles of the Caribbean, and Colombia or explore Canada, Carolina, and Miami on Virgin Voyages from just £79 per person per night. The offer also includes a $100 (£79.45) bar tab when booking select cabins, like The Sea Terrace or XL Sea Terrace.
Even better, bring a second person with you, whether they’re your best friend, beloved parent or long-time lover and you’ll get 80% off their fare, plus a drinks credit of up to $300 (€237) for trips through 2026.
Eligible cruises for the £79 flash sale include a five-night trip to Riviera Maya from January 12, a 11-night sailing to the Isles of the Caribbean and Colombia from January 21, and a 13-night adventurer to Canada, Carolina, & Miami from March 10.
Sailings must be booked between now and 4.59am GMT on December 4, 2024.
If you’re looking to cruise around the glittering Mediterranean of Europe or the tropical waters of the Caribbean, look no further than with MSC Cruises.
Keen explorers who book on Travel Tuesday are in for a treat: they can save up to 45% on their dreamy itineraries, meaning you can take a quick two night trip around Northern Europe for just £149pp, four nights in the Bahamas and Caribbean from just £279pp and don’t even get us started on the seven night journey around the Mediterranean starting from £319.
If you’re looking for a sign to finally book that lush cruise that’s just as much fun onboard as it is off, Royal Caribbean’s special deal may be the one for you.
With up to £600 off select cruises, you can be kicking your feet up and enjoying some sun rays on your face without any buyer’s remorse, mostly because you’ll be relaxing on the pool decks, indulging in delicious cuisine, and that’s before you get off the boat.
Beat the rush and go into 2025 relaxed and ready for your next break by taking full advantage of Booking.com’s Travel Tuesday deals. With thousands of accommodation options discounted by up to 35%, your dream spot is literally just waiting for you to click ‘book now’.
