Although Grant has been at The Hawthorns for almost four years, it is only this season that he has had the chance to fully appreciate Fellows’ talent.
Fellows spent the 2022-23 season on loan with League Two side Crawley Town, while Grant himself was loaned out for the 2023-24 campaign to Albion’s fellow Championship club Cardiff City.
“I wasn’t here last year, when he played a lot,” added Grant. “But he’s very grounded. And I’m learning quickly what to expect from him.
“If the defender wants to show him inside he’s going to take the opportunity.
“But he has that sharpness about him that no-one can read him.”
Fellows was in the Albion starting line-up in both legs as the Baggies lost to Russell Martin’s Southampton in the Championship play-off semi-finals in May.
Karlan Grant was talking to BBC Radio WM’s Steve Hermon.
