Kentucky Wildcats women’s basketball will play host to the Texas Longhorns tonight at Historic Memorial Coliseum in a matchup featuring the No. 8 and No. 3 teams in the country.
The Wildcats are coming off a disappointing loss at Ole Miss on Monday but strung together wins over Top-25 teams Alabama and Oklahoma before the loss.
Texas beat South Carolina on Sunday to win their eighth straight but have a tough stretch with Kentucky tonight and then back home for LSU on Sunday.
The Longhorns are in a three-way tie with LSU and South Carolina for a league-best 10-1 record in Southeastern Conference play, while the Wildcats sit alone in fourth place at 8-2.
A win for Kentucky would narrow that gap to one game, and that would really go a long way, considering three of their final five games are against LSU, Tennessee, and South Carolina.
Tip-off for tonight’s game between Kentucky and Texas is scheduled for 7 PM ET with television coverage on ESPN2.
