THG has named digital retail industry expert Milyae Park to its board, becoming an independent non-executive director with immediate effect.
A positive fit, Park joins the beauty-focused tech-heavy digital retailer following a “long and successful career in e-commerce transformation” at FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 companies including M&S and supermarket giant Tesco.
Since launching a portfolio career in 2019, she now holds several non-executive directorships including Alliance Witan Faber and Faber and Fidelity European Trust while also she serving as the chair of the Museum of London (Trading), alongside governor, brand and digital champion roles with the London Museum.
THG said the appointment “reinforces the board’s commitment to continually enhance its composition to ensure it is best placed to drive shareholder value, and align with the UK Listing Rules… [while] driving continued success and innovation at THG.”
Independent chair Charles Allen said Park’s “knowledge, skills and network will complement our very experienced board. Milyae is an experienced non-executive director with a strong track record in international retail, consumer and digital businesses, as well as a notable advocate for sustainability, diversity, equity and inclusion.”
