With the summer solstice upon us (20 June at 9.51pm BST) and as the festival season about to kick into high gear, East London jeweller The Rock Hound has released a new ethical jewellery collection to mark the occasions.
Inspired by the “bright golden summer sun with warm tones of yellow and rose gold”, its new Alchemy jewellery collection offers “an opulent gold touch to The Rock Hound’s HotRocks pieces inspired by naturally occurring quartz crystals”, we’re told.
And these pendants aim to “evoke a feeling of connection to Mother Earth, juxtaposed with their trademark flash of colour claimed to add a “playful mysticism” to the pieces.
They’re ethically produced too. “Through plating the Fairmined Gold onto AgAIN sterling silver we’ve created the ultimate 18ct Fairmined Gold Vermeil proving Alchemy is possible and you don’t have to sacrifice your morals or your bank balance to wear gold this season,” said the Rock Hound (aka Susi Smither).
The Alchemy range is available online through La Maison Couture, and at Selfridges.com. Prices start at £250 for hoops through to £495 for wand pendants.
