The pub first opened in 1700 as an English inn to provide a place for locals and travellers to eat and drink.

“The six of us all had the roast beef, and we all agreed that it was one of the best Sunday roasts we had ever eaten! Absolutely gorgeous food, and plenty of it. Friendly staff in a lovely village.”
