Just a few days after announcing the acquisition of the Bureau Béatrice agency, The Independents, which describes itself as the world’s leading communications group for luxury, fashion, beauty and lifestyle brands, has further strengthened its portfolio with the acquisition of Kitten Production.
Founded in 2015 by Jonathan Boyer and Romain Blanquet-Ferrero, Kitten Production is a creative agency specialising in the production of image, video and digital content for luxury and fashion brands. With offices in Paris, Barcelona and Milan, the agency works with houses such as Louis Vuitton, Jacquemus and Saint Laurent.
“Kitten Production ‘s expertise is a considerable advantage for the group and we want to take advantage of our global platform to support their development in new markets. As part of this initial growth strategy, we are ready to launch Kitten Production in New York and Tokyo,” explains Isabelle Chouvet, CEO of The Independents, who is not disclosing the amount of the acquisition.
In recent months, The Independents, made up of Atelier Athem, Atelier Lum, Bureau Betak & Bureau Future, CTZAR, Inca Productions, Karla Otto, K2, Kennedy, Lefty, Prodject, Sunshine and The Qode, has strengthened its creative expertise through a series of acquisitions.
This external growth strategy was made possible by a $400 million (€360 million) round of financing in June 2023 from FL Entertainment (Banijay) and TowerBrook Capital Partners.
