Three men arrested in connection with a collision that killed a 13-year-old boy have been released on bail, police said.
Taylen Ireton was fatally struck by a car having stepped outside a private party at the Cherry Tree pub, in Colchester, at about 21:20 BST on Saturday.
Essex Police said two 19-year-old men were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of the collision.
An 18-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of failing to stop at the scene of the collision, the force said. All three were bailed until 4 December.
“We continue to investigate the circumstances leading up to the collision and to support Taylen’s family through the forthcoming days,” said Det Sgt Same Nason.
“We’d still like to speak to anyone who may have information or dashcam footage that could help us.”
