TALA had big news on Thursday with the fast-growing British active-inspired brand naming Jon Wetherell as its creative director.
He joins with plenty of experience in guiding creative teams and delivering campaigns having previously been creative director at The Net-A-Porter Group and at Boden, as well as acting as art director at magazines including Esquire, GQ, Harpers Bazaar and InStyle.
The new role will see him spearheading the marketing creative direction at TALA “to drive the the brand’s visuals and tone of voice”.
His arrival comes ahead of “ambitious international expansion plans and marks a significant milestone for the brand as it continues on its upward trajectory,” we’re told.
He’s reporting directly to CEO Morgan Fowles who said: “I’m delighted for Jon to be joining the team. His extensive experience in industry-leading brands and publications, alongside his exceptional creative vision, will be instrumental in solidifying our position as a leader in the active-inspired fashion industry. Jon’s appointment is an exciting milestone in TALA’s evolution.”
And brand founder Grace Beverley hailed his “visionary approach and deep understanding of fashion trends”.
Beverley founded the label in 2019 as a “a female-led brand on a mission to make consciously-made active and off-duty styles accessible and inclusive without sacrificing performance or fit. They exist to show the industry that better options are available if and when you choose to shop”.
