Mott was appointed in June 2022 and led England to the T20 World Cup title in Australia later that year.
At last year’s World Cup, England lost six of nine matches and this year their only win over a Test-playing nation was against West Indies.
They beat Oman, Namibia and the United States, but lost to Australia, South Africa and India.
“We weren’t quite at our best this tournament and the result probably reflects that,” Mott said. “But there’s still a hell of a lot of positivity in our group.
“I absolutely love what I do. I’m incredibly fortunate to be around such talented people, both players and staff.
“I’m excited by where we can go.”
Mott backed captain Jos Buttler, who also led England in their 2022 win and the past two tournaments.
“Given some of the adversity we faced I was absolutely pumped with Jos’ leadership throughout,” added Mott.
“I thought he was amazing just to stay so level.”
