High street retailer Quiz has closed 23 of its stores across the UK as the company deals with insolvency.
The fashion chain says ‘a downturn in consumer demand’, and disappointing Christmas sales is the reason the company is facing issues.
The brand was bought in a pre-pack insolvency deal, which has seen new owners Orion save 42 of its shops.

However, administrators closed 23 shops in the UK and Ireland which were deemed “loss-making or unsustainable” by the new owner.
Exeter’s Princesshay shopping centre store is among the list. Others in the South West include the store at Cribbs Causeway near Bristol.
