Six young designers are set to feature their collections at the first-ever public event at London’s Studio Smithfield.
The inaugural winter 2024-25 Fashion Residency opens to the public across 13-14 December featuring the work of Paolo Carzana, Pauline Dujancourt, Laura Pitharas, Paolina Russo, Karoline Vitto and YAKU. They’re exhibiting together for the first time since taking residence at Studio Smithfield in July.
Their current collections, shown in London, Paris and Brazil for SS25, will be accompanies by exclusive brand video and photography, including behind-the-scenes content. And the designers will be selling in person to the public, including archival pieces, samples, jewellery collaborations and new garments made especially for this event.
The Studio Smithfield Winter Open Studio & Shop will be open to the public from noon to 7pm.
Launched in February, the Fashion Residency at Studio Smithfield is a business development programme for fashion designers, created in partnership by the Mayor of London, Projekt and Paul Smith’s Foundation, supported by British GQ, and is enabled through support from the City of London Corporation.
The programme provides six early-career fashion designers with access to 5,000 sq ft of communal and private workspace, and a programme of over 60 hours of business skills training from industry leaders.
