Solex, a revolutionary sun cream brand and applicator, has partnered with some of the UK & Ireland’s most well-known venues, helping to protect thousands of golfers from the lasting effects of sun damage.
To aid this, Solex has enlisted the support of leading distributor Trendy Sports Agency, which has been instrumental of the roll-out of the product to the industry.
Following extensive testing and industry feedback, Solex is now available in a wide variety of high-end venues, with Gleneagles, Adare Manor, The London Club, Loch Lomond, St Andrews and Doonbeg among the first clubs to sign up. The products are available for customisation, allowing courses to include their own logo on the bottle.
Uniquely, Solex’s design allows for hands-free application of suncream through a patent-applied applicator that ensures even and full distribution of the product across the skin. This provides a multitude of benefits for golfers, by offering fuller coverage across the body while also keeping hands free of the grease associated with traditional creams. Priced at £24.99, and offering an SPF of 30, the product also offers strong value for money versus existing suncream sticks and aerosols; with much of the latter often wasted during application.
For golfers not visiting one of Solex’s in-store stockists, the product is also available online through Scottsdale Golf, allowing golfers from across the UK & Ireland easy access to the brand.
With the long-lasting effects of prolonged exposure to the sun becoming increasingly clear, it’s essential that golfers take steps to negate this whilst on the course. Due to the strength of protection of all suncreams reducing after 120 minutes, golfers need to reapply throughout the round to ensure full-round coverage. Solex provides the only solution to ensure this level of protection without compromising play, thanks to its unique application process.
Jake Townsend of Solex commented: “It’s fantastic to see some of the biggest names in golf taking sun protection seriously. With the volume of traffic our partner clubs receive each year, we’re confident that together we’ll be actively making a difference to skin care of thousands of golfers.
“It’s a testament to the quality of the product that we’ve created that some of these world-class venues have chosen to add their own branding to our suncream, and we look forward to extending our network of golf clubs over the coming months.”
